Tektel®

DESCRIPTION: TEKTEL Surgical stainless Steel suture is a non-absorbable, sterile surgical suture composed of AISI 316L grade stainless steel conforming to ISO 5832 Part 1 "Metallic Materials for surgical implants".

TEKTEL Surgical stainless Steel suture meets all requirements established by the European Pharmacopoeia (E.P.) and the United States Pharmacopoeia (U.S.P.) for non-absorbable surgical sutures. Surgical stainless-Steel suture may also be labelled with the Brown & Sharpe Gauge (B&S) or American Wire Gauge (AWG) classifications.

INTENDED PURPOSE: TEKTEL Surgical stainless steel suture is indicated for use as non-absorbable suture in tissue approximation such as abdominal wound closure, hernia repair, sternal closure, and orthopedic procedures including cerclage and tendon repair.

TEKTEL Surgical Stainless Steel sutures are single-use devices.

CLINICAL PERFORMANCE CHARASTERISTICS: TEKTEL surgical stainless steel suture elicits a minimal acute inflammatory reaction in tissue and is not absorbed.

CLINICAL BENEFIT: TEKTEL ensures secure tissue approximation in procedures such as abdominal wound closure, hernia repair, sternal closure, and orthopedic procedures including cerclage and tendon repair.

TEKTEL evokes minimal inflammatory response in tissue.

Politer®K-Pak

Politer, made by braiding fine filaments of polyester an coated to reduce capillarity, is one of ideal sutures for cardiovascular & implant surgery for long term support.

Dopace®

DESCRIPTION: DOPACE Temporary Pacing Wire (TPW) is a sterile single use, twisted 316L stainless steel wire, coated (sheathed) with colored polyethylene, with double needle, with or without anchor. Dopace consists of following par:

  1. Insulated multifilament conductor coated with colored polyethylene
  2. Uninsulated, multifilament wire (intracorporeal) electrode
  3. TPW may be presented as "anchored" type
  4. Intracorporeal curved needle
  5. Extracorporeal straight breakaway needle

DOPACE meets requirements established by the European Pharmacopoeia (EP) and United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) for non-absorbable surgical sutures. USP diameter is only for steel wire (no insulation). DOPACE may also be labeled with the B&S gauge classifications.

CLINICAL PERFORMANCE CHARASTERISTICS: DOPACE provides a conductive connection between an external pacemaker and myocardium having one end stripped of insulation, and crimped to a curved taper point suture needle for facilitating fixation in the myocardium or if anchored; penetration through myocardium and fixation by anchor. Anchor is the stripped off and spread part of the insulation close to the curved needle. The other end of the insulated lead is conductively attached to a straight cutting edge Keith needle which is pushed through the thoracic cavity wall from the interior to the exterior. The Keith needle is equipped with a special break-off (breakaway) groove. The cutting part of the needle is broken off at the groove, and the stub forms an electrode plug which is connected to conventional pacing and monitoring equipment. If the electrode will be attached later, the electrode must be isolated in such a way that no exposed metal remains.

CLINICAL BENEFIT: Dopace provides a conductive connection between an external pacemaker and myocardium for temporary epicradial cardiac pacing or monitoring with a pacemaker and can be removed easily after temporary pacing is terminated.

Propilen

Propilen, made of specially extruded condensed polypropylene, is a monofilament suture with round cross-section ideal for cardiovascular surgery. We have long pack option for some codes, in order to minimize suture memory.

Daxton-K®

DESCRIPTION: daxton®-K is a non-absorbable, sterile surgical monofilament suture, composed of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), with chemical formula (C2F4)n, that has been expanded to an ePTFE suture with a porous microstructure and contains air. The porous nature of the daxton®-K suture enables it to be swaged to needles that closely approximate the diameter of the thread, without compromising the strength of the needle attachment. daxton®-K is natural (undyed) and is white. daxton®-K, expanded PTFE sutures, due to its porous nature, is larger in diameter than the requirements of the European Pharmacopoeia (EP) and the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) for Non-absorbable Surgical Sutures.

CLINICAL PERFORMANCE CHARASTERISTICS: daxton®-K suture elicits minimal acute inflammatory reaction in tissue, which is followed by gradual encapsulation of the suture by fibrous connective tissue. ePTFE is not absorbed, nor is it subject to degradation or weakening by the action of tissue enzymes.

CLINICAL BENEFIT: daxton®-K ensures secure approximation and/or ligation in general soft tissue operations including cardiovascular surgery and dura mater repair. daxton®-K aims to evoke inflammatory response in tissue as minimal as possible.
